The Reckoning
The Code keeps those who keep the Code.
A principle of mutual holding. Welcome, recognition, and the company of other keepers are given freely to those who hold the tenets.
A keeper who has broken the Code is no longer held by it. The mechanism is silence. Greetings are not returned; letters are not answered; the Mark, when worn, is no longer read.
No tribunal is convened. No accusation is made. The keeper, finding the company gone from around them, knows.
