No threshold is crossed uninvited.
A principle of invitation. Entry to the Code is given, not asked for. Entry to a keeper's home, table, or confidence is the same.
Keepers choose who they bring in. They do not impose, they do not insist, they wait until the moment is right. Those who arrive uninvited are turned, quietly, at the door, and rarely know they have been turned at all.
